William J. Withrow School Visits Bursary announced at the Rouge: Varley Gala by board member Howard Back

Numerous elementary and high school students have come to experience art and education through the programs run by the Varley Art Gallery’s education department. This coming school year, through the support of the Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham, the William J. Withrow School Visits Bursary program will enable more students to visit the Varley Art Gallery by subsidizing the cost of bus transportation. These students will receive guided gallery tours and hands on learning through the programs led by the Varley Art Gallery’s experienced team of educators. William J. Withrow was a founding board member of the Varley Art Gallery.

Art Talk by Paul Harpley at Georgina Arts Centre and Gallery

Chorus York and Shadowpath Theatre Productions join A Christmas Night Out

Chorus York have been invited to perform carols at Lake St George Field Centre for their “A Christmas Night Out” event on December 1st and 15th, 2018, where you can start your evening with a horse drawn wagon ride down the forested laneway. Tour the tree lit grounds, encounter historical characters played by Shadowpath Theatre Productions, and discover the natural beauty of this property. Made in Canada Exhibit

The exhibit will be available to be seen at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum & Community Centre now through Dec 8th during regular hours of operation.  Let the artifacts in this exhibit – both from the Museum and loaned from local residents – share their military stories with you.  Learn More
