Join Vaughan Film Festival for this rare and exciting workshop with choreographer and motion capture expert, Terry Notary. You may have seen him...or his movements...in such films as Avengers Infinity War as Teen Groot, Planet of the Apes as Rocket, and Kong: Skull Island as Kong himself, just to name a few.
This in-depth workshop will guide you through breaking down human behaviour and getting to the core of body awareness to create and truly capture the role you're going after.
This workshop is recommended for screen and stage actors, directors, stunt performers, and dancers.
What is art journaling? This is an opportunity for anyone to be creative and expressive through their own creation of art. No art experience is required. This technique uses an individuals inspiration and design through a variety of mediums including decoupage, painting, writing, and even doodling. In the end, you art journal will reflect your own style, thoughts and emotions.
ASK artist Lynn Wilson will walk you through various techniques that will help you produce AND enhance your work. Lynn is an accomplished artist in her own right and has been journaling for years. She will provide a variety of methods, supplies and instructions to help you create your own masterpiece.
Each participant is asked to bring their own book aka journal and start saving and bring images that inspire such as magazine clipping, cards, notes, letters, etc. Recommended books are old or even used thick 'coffee-table' style books that may have some meaning to you in terms of the size or theme of the book.
All instruction, paints, adhesives, brushes and other images to use will be provided. Refreshments will be provided - join for a lovely afternoon of creative expression. REGISTER NOW!

Grand Opening of the Latcham Gallery
Thursday, August 23rd at 7pm to celebrate the new home of Latcham Art Centre at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Leisure Centre. The newly built gallery and art studio is located just inside the main entrance of the building, directly opposite the Library!
