Canadian Art Gallery Educators Symposium 2018: Making Learning Visible
A dynamic four days of programming includes hands on writing workshops with Kris Wetterlund (Director of Education and Interpretation at the Corning Museum of Glass and founder/editor of Museum-Ed), presentations by Judith Koke (most recently Chief of Public Programming at the Art Gallery of Ontario), an interactive experience with Peter Morin (Tahltan Nation artist, writer, curator, and educator), and intimate discussions with our peers. Three Artists Shortlisted for $50k Scotiabank Photography Award
The award winner, to be announced on May 8, will receive a $50,000 cash prize, an exhibition at the Ryerson Image Centre during the 2019 Contact Photography Festival, and a book of their work published by Steidl. A New Visual, Media and Performing Arts Space
The creation of a new visual, media and performing arts space will become reality at 176 Lakeshore Drive in North Bay.
It is the result of a partnership between the Nipissing Region Curatorial Collective (NRCC), the Department of Canadian Heritage and Pronor Developments. The new galleries, known as NOVAH, will be an integral part of a new “Innovation and Co-working Hub” that focuses on Arts, Wellness and Commerce called coworking176.space. Learn More
