Plein Air Workshop

Plein Air Workshop

Leonora Buskin is one of the York Region Arts Council's Artists in Residence! Her upcoming Plein Air Workshop will be conducted in partnership with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority at Kortright Centre for Conservation.

Leonora Buskin is an emerging young artist and an Ontario certified arts educator based in the City of Vaughan. As part of her professional development, Leonora has been experimenting with a mixed media approach that involves the integration of botanical specimens into her paintings, photographs, and stained glass works. Pressed botanical arrangements have become a symbol for memory in her work, particularly the preservation of a moment in time. Leonora graduated with a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education from York University in 2017, and will be graduating from MacEwan University’s Arts and Cultural Management Certificate Program this year.

Leonora will guide participants in creating a unique landscape image using oil pastels and a variety of techniques. All skill levels are invited. For more information and to register, click here
