The York Region Arts Council (YRAC) is currently seeking qualified individuals to join our Board of Directors. A single term of office for a Director is three (2) years. The Board meets virtually every other month and regular attendance and participation are required. Ad hoc communication and meetings may also be required, as needed. This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for emerging or established professionals with an interest in arts, culture, and/or tourism to make an impact on the arts community in York Region and beyond.

We are in need of  individuals with knowledge/expertise in one or more of the following areas: 

1. Secretary

2. Vice-Chair 

3. Treasurer

4. Board Member

Priority will be given to candidates with expertise in the numbered fields above, as well as individuals from equity-deserving groups including Black, Indigenous, Persons of Colour, LGBTQ2S+, and persons with disabilities.
